From September 2019, all-new Toyota vehicles will come fitted with a device that opens up a whole new world of features. When you opt-in you’ll have access to Wi-Fi capability and a host of convenient Connect services.


In car Wi-Fi

Allow companions to connect to your vehicle's Wi-Fi so that they can stream music or play games, offering endless entertainment.

Battery Health Check

Check your battery health from anywhere at any time, and get alerts when your battery is low so that you’re never stranded.

Roadside Assistance

Be connected to the AA and contact them in an emergency using your current location. With Connect you always get the support you need, when you need it.

Service Booking

Get reminders of your upcoming service dates and easily book your vehicle in via the MyToyota app.




GPS Locator

Always have the location of your vehicle available in real time to put your mind at ease when you are on the road.


Conveniently keep digital track of your vehicle’s mileage and service history, and allocate Work and Home for business and personal trip auto allocation.

Driver Rating

Receive a driver rating score dependent on your driving behaviour – receive a score out of 100 for your cornering, braking, speeding and accelerating. Perfect for businessmen who have drivers on the road.





Download the MyToyota app onto your device
Go to the connect section to link your vehicle to the MyToyota app
Opt in to services like the logbook, battery health check and vehicle locator


Go to the Connect section of the MyToyota app
Upload a copy of your ID and proof of address for RICA purposes
You’ll get 15GB of complimentary data once you’ve activated the Toyota Connect section and you can top-up via the app thereafter

Can BLNS countries get Wi-fi using the Connect Device?
No, Wi-fi is not available on the device outside of South Africa
Do I have to buy data for the Connect device once the complimentary 15GB has been depleted?
Yes data can be topped up by means of Vodacom data bundles (not airtime)
Where can I buy data bundles from?

  • Banking App (data bundles only)
Can I use airtime instead of data?
Yes, but you will be charged out of bundle rates
If I do not activate the Wi-fi and opt-in to the Connect device, what features will I have?
All of the above aside from Wi-fi Connectivity
Can I switch it off/ remove it from the car?
You can choose not to opt in. The device cannot be removed.
Will Toyota SA give its partners access to my personal information?
No, however, you may opt in to receive communications from 3rd parties for deals of their product range.
Will Toyota SA and it’s partners have access to my driving record?
Only an estimation of a vehicle’s mileage covered, no location data or personal identifiers or fields will be included
