Fifteen to twenty years ago we didn't understand after sales services in depth and take it as seriously as today. The focus was concentrated on the sale of vehicles rather than after sales service.
Today after sales service is the hub on which vehicles sales rotate. Competition is stronger than ever in the motor industry. A bad product does not exist in the marketplace today. To be able to do a successful transaction, is based on cost of ownership and service. These two factors are the most important when differentiating between products from different dealers. Cost of ownership is not referring to price or discount, but include total cost, of which depreciation are normally the largest. Depreciation is the difference in price paid when new and the price received when replacing or selling the vehicle. A full service history at an accredited dealership is of outmost importance and can make a difference of between R5,000 and R30,000 on the value of a used vehicle
Statistics have shown that Toyota was at the top of the sales charts, the past 23 years, which in itself is a remarkable accomplishment. In 2002 Toyota had a market share of 23,1% against our closest competitor who managed 16,1%. Our biggest selling brands are the Yaris, Hilux and Corolla. Toyota's resale value are also the highest in the industry. Toyota attribute this, to the world renowned quality of there vehicles. Peace-of-mind and the reliability of these vehicles made them like "old friends" in many a South African home. The cornerstone of the relationship between dealer and customer is; always friendly services, supported by open communication channels. Ermelo Toyota believes: Once a customer, always a customer. We have personnel on standby from every department 24 hours a day, to assist customers with service or advice. That is more than most dealers in Ermelo can say.
Not only does Toyota South Africa supports each Toyota dealer with great service for the supply of products, spares and technical advice, but supply a guarantee to the customer on every product and spares which cannot be easily simulated by anyone. Ermelo Toyota also supply this service to the customer.
